¿To what end Nature?

Nature is a place to get lost. I can wonder around the wilderness for hours and feel like I'm where I was ment to be. I don't care where I am, or who I am as long as I'm surrounded by raw nature. This feeling of being surrounded by life sooths and calms me. Instead of hearing motors and the noise of the city, in nature the sounds penetrate my ears and trigger my primitive and simple side. The sound of water trickling into a small pool, the sound of leaves moving in the wind, the sound of a squirle's blithe squeek after he finds a few acorns is what I look for while I'm lost.

  2. Nice post (I especially love the squirrel's "blithe" squeak), but isn't this just a bit short for its purpose. To your credit, what's here is compelling enough that you leave me wanting to read much more (the notion of being not lost at all, but 'found'). Still, precisely because you make me hanker for more--and then fail to provide it--the post seems to frustrate more than it fulfills.
